KMC Ceilidh

Ceilidh with Striding Edge at the Castle St Centre, Kendal

Hutton Roof

Very pleasant situation - the routes are short on superb rock (though may be polished). A great place for a first climb and understandably popular with groups, although there is plenty of crag for everyone. Car sharing for parking Meeting point: Auction J36

Trowbarrow

Back to one of our favourite early season venues. With a relatively short drive and walk in, there should be time for two or three routes. Meeting point: A6 Leasgill

Giggleswick South

A sunny sheltered crag of limestone with mainly sport climbing lines. Some trad lines of MVS and above. Meeting point: Auction J36

Kettle Crag

A hidden gem located on the side of Pike O’Blisco overlooking “The Band”. Well worth the walk in Meeting point: Plumgarths layby

Whitestone

Novice Friendly Crag A small, crag on a little fell above the South Lakes road. Lots of parking on a short stretch of the old road near Newby bridge. Meeting point: Levens Hall layby

White Crag Langdale

Previously known as far West Raven. Clean rock with good friction. Routes of all grades. Meeting point: Plumgarths layby

Attermire Scar

Above Settle, limestone with fairly short routes that pack in the moves. A wide range of grades with trad protection. Nice for a summer evening. Meeting point: Auction J36

Twistleton Scars (SD 716 762)

This popular Limestone crag has a great outlook overlooking Ingleborough. With a huge choice of short routes on offer, an evenings visit will give you just a taster of what’s on offer. You have to pay to park at the farm so car sharing advisable. Meeting point: Levens Hall Layby

White Ghyll

Our 1st venture into the higher crags. Another classic Langdale Crag. The steep scramble up the ghyll always feels hard, but the superb climbing is more than adequate compensation. Meeting point: Plumgarths layby
